Periowave 
The treatment principles behind Periowave are based on recent understanding of how light can be used to destroy bacteria. It has been found that by staining the bacteria with a dye and then shining a light of a very specific wavelength on the bacteria a unique reaction is produced. This painless reaction weakens the bacterial cell walls and they are destroyed. Because the bacteria are immediately destroyed they do not become resistant to this therapy like they can to antibiotic therapy.
